This gives us a little time to recharge our batteries, but even more important, it gives us new impulses - food for our creative minds to digest. Maybe all large cities are similar. But no matter how small the differences are, they nonetheless influence us to see the world differently. Every city changes our perception: A meeting in Paris feels completely different to a meeting in London, even if it is identical down to the last detail. And yet only a few days or hours in another city can leave a everlasting impression or provide us insights for upcoming projects. Why business travel is still important.
We live in the time when mobile phones and online conferencing are everywhere and there is a growing trend for companies to view business travel as simply an expense. But there is a different side to the story and the benefits that come from traveling. Sitting in the office and staring at the screen isn't a good replacement for putting your feet on the ground and getting out. Human interaction, gathering new experiences, experiencing different cultures and getting inspiration are all things best done out of the office. The last few weeks have been just that for INNOTIO.
