Elevating Rare Disease Care: Insights from a Salzburg’s MPS II Medical Tutorial
In the beautiful city of Salzburg, nestled at the foot of the Austrian Alps, we had the honor of hosting a Mucopolysaccharidosis II (MPS II) Medical Tutorial at the Clinical Research Center Salzburg (CRCS). These tutorials are great opportunities, especially in the realm of Rare Diseases, providing presentations, lively case-study discussions and simulation scenarios.
Together with the CRCS and our client, we developed a program that brought together internationally recognized experts in MPS II with practicing physicians.
While the first day was packed with insightful scientific presentations from the selected experts and allowed participants to share their own case studies, day 2 tied together the rich scientific program with hands-on simulation scenarios and attractive networking opportunities for everyone involved.
At innotio, we wear many hats – from shaping program content to managing logistics – and it’s always rewarding to hear positive feedback from participants. One faculty member summed it up well: “The scientific content was high, the simulation useful and well structured, the delegates participated actively, the organization has been perfect. In one word: it has been an honour to be part of the group.” A delegate took the time to express their gratitude, saying, “I also wanted to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks for all your hard work in making the tutorial such a success. Not only was everything incredibly well-organized, but you also went above and beyond to ensure that we felt comfortable at all times. It truly made a difference.”
As sustainability is always an important aspect of our way of working, wemade sure that our engagement in this meeting kept the carbon footprint as low as possible. Once again, we used recycled materials for meeting collaterals, and we made a conscious decision to travel to Salzburg by train instead of flying, significantly reducing our carbon emissions.
